Actually, it's most likely due to the fact that Anoles are opportunistic feeders. And they love variety, as well as anything that flies. But it's still best to keep prey items within a certain size range, preferably 2/3 the size of the head, or as many vets recommend, no bigger than the space between their eyes. Feeding prey, especially insects, that are too large can lead to forms of impaction.

Hey edman007,
so did the anole succesfully finish this meal?ie no impaction? I guess he/she wasn't hungry for a while. I used to feed mine alot of house flies,grasshoppers(big) and they were straight.lol
