Very nice cages. Do you find the bulb guards are sufficient to protect the snakes ?
I do know inside heating is great and even small watts go a long way but worried about 30 watts still burning a snake even in the bulb guard.

The guards get really warm, but not hot to the touch. That was a concern, but it turned out just fine. When the snakes get up there, which they will do, they will have plenty of time to get off before they get burned.
Thanks for the concern!

After 8 hours, the temps are spot on - 90 on the warm side, 79 on the cool side. The bulb guards were comfortably warm, not even hot after 8 hours.

Ok great thanks. I am going for a 85 warm sidelow 70s cool side so imagine can go less watts . Great looking cage I was concerned about inside heat but going for it now as I prefer to heat the air/area rather than just bottom .
Will use it only in cold months anyway thanks

Thanks for the Rating! Good luck with the build. I also like to heat the air, with a nice rock or tile for belly heat should they desire it.

Each level is 4ft wide by 2ft deep by about 18in high. Total dimension is 4ft high, 4 ft wide, 2 ft deep.
I have actually sold this, and will build another one when my collection grows again.

awesome make! how did you go about building this? this would be very convenient in my snake room.
what did you use for the inside walls ov the tank? also for the "glass"?
is it hard to keep humidity in this cage? i have a ball python and a red tailed boa that need more humidity then my other sand boas.
