I'm not really sure. It didn't have any ill effects, and I rinse him off afterwards. Snakes are natural swimmers if you are wondering if he can swim. I was just thinking that since they have an eye cap it would be ok saying that pool water doesn't hurt our eyes and we don't have eye caps.
