This is my new D. Imitator vivarium. It's a little difficult to see in the photo, but there is a waterfall and pond in the left of the vivarium. I used a glass divider to separate the water from some plants. I also used a false bottom in the back of the water side to protect the pump and heater.

nice tank, but one thing, did you cover the glass divider with something? just make sure it is ALL covered up cause they can slice their entire body on them.

Thank you, and actually I used thick plexi-glass for the divider I accidently only typed glass on the description but its all covered up anyways with gravel and river stones on one side, fir and sphagnum peat moss bedding on the other, and finally mood or pillow moss on the top. Thanks for the advice though for future projects. I'm working on a 29 gallon at the moment and I used a glass divivder instead of plexi-glass to support the weight of the water so I can have some small fish in the middle, but I'm still undecided of what darts to put in it right now especially because deep water can be dangerous with darts. I hope to have pictures up soon.

ok, just checkin, it would be a shame to loose such a pretty froggie to something like that. as far as darts and deep water, i would say no thumbnails, but i've heard galacs like the water. i would post something in the dart forum here and see what you come up with.

Yea, that's a good idea about the forum. I like the red galacs especially because they can be in groups...as long as they aren't overcrowded.

yeah, galacs are amazing frogs, and pretty hardy compared to imi's. there might even be something about that allready in the forums, don't really know how you'de find it though. you should try posting something on dendroboard.com if you haven't allready.

I posted the question on the dart frog forum and slaytonp gave me some great advice from her on experience, which was pretty close to the advice you gave me. She said she's had from galacs in a paludarium and has had no drowning losses and the darts actually swim delibrately and can be found in some water plants or floating leaves.
