This was my first attempt at ANY form of woodworking. There were no plans, but I am kind of proud of it. 5'x 2.5' for a male burm.

If that is your first attempt at woodworking then I must say you did an excellent job. It looks great.

Thanks for the compliment. I am planning a third tier of two haf-sized cages for my pair of Bismark Ringed Pythons. - Brian (Col_Kurtz)

I'm waiting to see. The burm is a male, and at 11 months old is less than 6 1/2 feet, so it is entirely plausible that he will not be a giant. If he stays within the average range for male burms (8-13ft), he will be fine in this home. If he does outgrow the average, (and this enclosure) I guess I will just have to build another and purchase a new snake for this one!!! Thnks to you, also, for the kind comments. - Brian

I like how you made it look like just another piece of furniture. Did you get all of the material from your local hardware store or did you have to special order some of the parts?

Thanks, Bezz

Thats a great job!

One thing though, Is that flex wat sitting open in the cage? If so, thats not a great way to heat the cage and the snake could get shocked or burned.
