Have you had any problems with your frogs drowning if they when in to the water?, how deep is the water do you have in you paludarium, I'm planing to build one myself in a 75 gal tank and I was thinking to use dart or matella frongs, but other people have told me that is no a good idea to have them if my paludarium will be half full of water, what are your thoughs about this?

Just be sure to have an easy egress such as a log from water to land, etc. Darts can swim--more like a skitter across the top of the water, as long as they don't get trapped under something. False bottoms under substrate should be securely caged off from the pool features. I have some galactonotus that actually get in the water deliberately to nab flies off the floating aquarium leaves, then skitter back to shore. You may have heard tales of female tinctorius in particular, drowning each other when fighting. They are more likely to do this in shallow water than in deep water which would force them to separate. I can't say anything about Mantellas because I've never kept them.
