nice tank what kind of rocks are those in the background and how did you get them to stick

I used a sheet of polystyrene for the base of the back wall. Then I cut out rock shapes from another sheet of polystyrene and used perfect glue 1 and toothpicks to stick them onto the other sheet of polystyrene.

what did u use to coat the polystyrene to give it that texture? what did you paint it with?

I coated the poly with premixed tile adhesive. I used 2 different colors of tile adhesive, went over the entire thing with one color, then mixed in the 2nd lighter color onto random parts to add some variety in the color.

The plants I bought at Michaels and glued them myself with hot glue. I dunno exactly what type or name, but I just went to Michaels (arts and crafts store) and looked through the fake plants for any that looked 'deserty'.
