Keywords: Terrarium Extension
Here is a cage idea I came up with several years ago that uses a standard fish aquarium. The terrarium extention provides more living space for your reptiles or amphibians without the cost of custom glass terrariums. We manufacture the final product to match the trim of the fish aquarium.
Looks awesome and nice creativity. The only issue I'd have is that the bottom of the overturned tank would filter out UV if the light was set on top for the reptiles that need it.

That was a concern I also had as a breeder of Chameleons. I have tested this idea for about 6 years. I have a 55gal set up with a breeding pair of Veiled Chameleons. I have not had any health problems with them due to lack of UV/lighting. I also have a 29gal set up with a breeding pair Jacksons Chameleons, and have not had any health problems with them.
