Description: AFTER AN INCUBATION PERIOD OF 35 DAYS UNDER THE WATER DISH IN THE ENCLOSURE...4 HATCHLINGS EMERGED AT NIGHT.WE TOOK 5 EGGS AND PUT THEM IN AN INCUBATOR AND NONE HATCHED , MOTHER APPARENTLY KNOWS BEST.SHE GATHERED THE REMAINING 4 EGGS TOGETHER AND BROODED THEM NON STOP.GOD BLESS...

Not totally sure....she was probably gravid at the time...females are easy to catch when we got her in late spring.We're lucky to have an abundance of them here.We had a male who was caught full grown who lived another 4 years...he would hibernate when temps got near 60 in the house.GOD BLESS...
