Terrarium Extension allows the the reptile hobbyist to more than double the living space for their arboreal reptile, and amphibians. Available for 10gal, 20L gal, 29gal, and 55gal aquariums!

Reptile's (Chameleons) I have kept in this set up requiring special UV lighting have not been affected by placing the florescent light fixture on the top of the upside down aquarium.

I think if you just sold a terrarium extension as is with screen top you would sell a lot but with placing a glass tank over it.
You lose the screen top and an incandescent bulb becomes close to useless as far as directing heat downwards.
No way heat penetrates glass like it does screen top and could even crack the glass.

Just sell the tank extension with screen lid and make it so it can go higher .

The idea is great.

Lia, Zila makes something as you described called the Fresh Air Topper.

For animals requiring more heat, the bottom of the glass on the top tank can be removed relatively easy. Then replaced with a standard 10 gallon aquarium screen.
