Thanks a lot! He was given to me in 2001. They had him since 96, he is probably 6-7 years old. He is almost 4' long. When his previous owners had him, they had him in a homemade wooden enclosure, with black screen. Then they put a blanket over so the heat would stay in (they were using a desk lamp and ~40W bulb). It took him a few months to get used to a 55 gallon aquarium (and me...although he never bit me). Even now, he scares easily with strangers. He is very special! I let him dictate when he wants to come out...he will reach for the top when I come close. He is also VERY good about posing for the camera! Sorry for the long post....I love my guys.

My king is 2 years, 5 months. He was 39" last time I measured him and has since grown. I will have to measure him again maybe this weekend. You gonna get anymore snakes? If you like the corns personality, check out black rats. I have 2 and they are awesome. The one I have is a W/C I got here in KY, and the other is an albino I got from Dwight Good.

When I was in college we had a W/C Black Rat and boy was she mean! She never bit anyone but she would musk anyone who came near her and would puff and prepare for strike and whip her tail around. (I think she hated her enclosure--20L with dirt and a cardboard box for shelter.) She was a beauty though... about 6' long. I don't care how upset she got...she was beautiful. Me and another guy were the only ones who would handle her (and deal with her personality). We would lock the door and let her go all around the room for exercise. She was a lot more active than my corn. Ps...if you want to email me, you could register an email w/Kingsnake (no one sees it) and click on my username.
