"Spot" (advice appreciated!)

This is "Spot", he/she is a Cali Kingsnake i bought for my fiance as a beginner pet for her(but i do the work!)lol,i bought it in 09 and it was fairly young when i got it(approx -1yr old)but the design is AWESOME! The reason for the name "Spot" is if you look closely on top of its head theres a spot despite the rest of the pattern being banded or ringed. Its a VERY active sucker and strikes at me often while trying to feed him/her but my fiance would still rather hold it before my 4 ft Sunglow or my 4ft Ball! Im guessing cause its smaller she thinks its less likely to cause damage?lol
