nice pic! I was also wondering, why do you wear gloves? Is it because of the health your worried about, or is it their claws?

Thanks,
Ben

They were just a few hours old, and I was weighing them and checking to make sure the umbilicus was closed- I didn't want bacteria from MY hands to enter a possibly open umbilicus. I don't normally wear gloves when handling my PTS :)

How amazing!! There are the cutest!! Where do you find the room for all of them? I purchased one and I am worried about space. What do you do about space (height) for climbing?

FINALLY....more PTS fans!!! I have 1.1 that I got right before the import ban. I had two babies, but due to complications from the one I bought from a respected company **coughn.e.r.d cough**, I lost both my babies. I house my adult pair in an arboreal cage that is 6 feet tall, 3 feet wide, and 2 feet deep. It is a center piece in the living room now!! The cage is densely decorated with artificial plants to avoid any problems with poisonous plants, and they completely adore their hanging plants. They were my first herps, and still remain one of my favorites.I thought i was going to get a chance at babies once, but she ended up not being pregnant. Any extra breeding tips would be GREATLY appreciated, and I would LOVE to hear from you fellow PTS fans about your little guys. We need our own forum!!! Please e-mail me at snake_bitten@juno.com with any stories/pictures/suggestions/questions or absolutely anything!!!!!

Hi breakfastatme, sorry it took so long to reply- I frequent the kingsnake skink forum so try posting questions there for a faster response. I have 5 PTS of my own, a family group living in a 5x3ishx2ish vertically oriented enclosure with multiple levels and hidy spots. see the photo 'PTS palaces' in my photo gallery under user name Jess b.
best wishes, Jess b
