I have a few questions about a wooden enclosure that I got off someone near my place today. It's 4ft 3in. in length, 18 inches deep and about 15-16 inches in height. I cleaned it up, took a damp cloth and wiped the outside down, vacuumed the inside (there was sand in there). On the top left side, there's a hole and on the right hand side, there's a rectangular meshed hole. It has two doors that open upward, in the front of the tank. This is all made of wood and mesh...cheap mesh. The whole enclosure though isn't heavy in weight.
These are my questions:
Can I house my adult spotted python and the sub-adult ball python in the same enclosure? What about when the ball python gets big? Except for when feeding them, would it be safe to house them both in one big enclosure?
How do I go about disinfecting this enclosure before I use it? Is an all-glass enclosure a better bet to house snakes in?
What are my heating options? I plan to use indoor-outdoor carpet as substrate. I was thinking of attaching two heating pads underneath the left side, coupled with a 150 Watt heat emitter that I already have. Since it is a big enclosure, I was thinking this would be more than sufficient.
