I'm sorry. I've had guini pigs my whole life. In the last two years, I've lost three guini pigs to Scurvy.(a disease that sailors used to get on long journys from loss of calcium) Two of em' were boars, one was a sow. I know how it feels. I'm sorry :(

sorry to hear about your losses. actually, scurvy is from Vitamin C deficiency- not calcium. Scurvy is quite common to guniea pigs in captivity, i would recommend feeding a high quality diet (u get what u pay for) and supplementing with vitamin drops or vitamin sticks/treats. good luck
