Keywords: HELP , Is this a good home for a Uromastyx??

I have set this up in hope it would be the right habitat for a uromastyx. I dont know everything bout this species so i need help on designing this vivaruim to the standards and needs of a uromastyx. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. I know there is no heating devices in the pic and i have none so far but i am planning on buying some. Help on heating would greatly be appreciated as well. Thank you.

Hey you sure have a lot of things for it to do but add more hiding spots as they NEED to be able to get out of the light at some times. Also try adding some rocks as they love basking on stacks of river rocks(make sure they are disinfected, and stacked in a way that they cant dig under them because uros are avid diggers and if they fall it would be terrible.) Very attractive tank setup. I like the big pieces of wood, they look awesome. I'm no expert when it comes to uromastyx but one thing I would deffinetly recomend is getting a screen cover. UVB rays don't travel through glass at all and most diurnal lizards like uromastyx will need access to UVB. Good luck!

ok i dont know what species of uromastyx your getting but i have one mali uromastyx. I have him in a 20 gallon tanks with a UVB in one corner on a stand. they need to get out of the light at some point so make sure the light isnt throughput the entire cage. Then I have a basking branch and a food and water bowl. Its pretty simple but it works just great!

URO,S LIKE IT HOT AND DRY BASKING TEMP SHOULD BE ABOUT 115 DEGREES AND THEY LIKE A HIDE BOX TOO IF YOUR ENCLOSURE IS BIG ENOUGH IT SHOULD BE AT LEAST 40 GALLON TANK
THEY LIKE LOTS OF ROOM...GOOD LUCK
