Keywords: Undescribed Uroplatus hatchling

This is one of 4 undescribed Uroplatus I was fortunate enough to hatch this year. All are doing very well.

There is not a great deal known about this species at the moment. They seem to tolerate a wide range of temperatures (60-82F), but like all Uroplatus should not be kept constantly warm. A range of 77-82 seems ok for daytime. Mist once or twice daily, depending on ambient humidity, do not keep them too damp. They eat very well and will even sometimes feed during the day. If your geckos do not eat within a few days, there may be something wrong. Fecal tests at two-week intervals (do 2 or 3) should pick up any parasites. Animals that have been stressed by import/shipping sometimes do poorly. A lot will depend on what has happened to the gecko between Madagascar and your home. Good Luck!
