Keywords: mink fancy rat

This is Galadriel. I *think* she is a mink berkshire, where I got her they said she was mink, her father was mink and her mother was blue. But sometimes she looks mink and sometimes she looks lilac or chocolate, I just see pictures of minks online and she doesn't look as dark as they do. She probably is, but if you think she's different let me know! She also had a litter of 9 babies on 12-16-02!

That's a mink all right. Lilac's a very weird color and chocolate is a much different color/tone. It's more like the color of an actual chocolate then a mink (I suppose you probably don't like mink coats but it makes for an all right comparison.)

Minks actually can be several different shades. I wouldn't worry about that, and the mink gene is probably the most compatible with blue then the other two colors you mentioned. :) Beautiful rat. Looks like my Mus! (And boy was he a good rat when he was around.)
