I don't mean to single you out, I'm sure you'll take great care of your caiman, but looking through all these great pic's i've noticed a huge many infants. Are caimans like iguanas in places they are legal as pets? (of course i'm talking impulse buying)

sorry i know this is ancient but had to comment.
keeping gator and similar stuff isn't as impulse as iggys, mostly cause they aren't as easy to get, but the reason u see so many babys pics on here, is mostly due to the fact that keeping these guys is something newer, well not newer, more or less just something that has recently realy startered up again, so the ban on selling baby gators in pet stores in what the 80's?
