Survivor was taken down by a dog (not the one pictured with her)at the age of 7 months. She was trained to sit on command, give piggy kisses, and when asked if she wanted a treat would nod her head yes. I miss her something awfull. I now have Ms. Holly, though she will never take the place of my dear Survivor.

I am so sorry! I feel your pain! I know this isn't the same, but my water dragon, who was really cute although you might not think a lizard can be cute, would follow me around the house, cuddle on my CAT! And if he was on a table and my cat was underneith he would jump on her! My mom was on the couch and my cat (not the one that cuddled with him) had him in his mouth and dropped him in the middle of my living room. He died the next day. I kept him in the cage for about a week just to make sure he wasn't still alive. I couldn't accept his death.

any pet loss is heart breaking. I have raised many green iguanas and cried my heart out each time one passed away, so I know how you can get attached to lizards as well. My new piggy, Ms. Holly will never take the place of Survivor, but she sure did help with the healing process. Check out the rest of my photos. I have a few out here of Ms. Holly and my NEW registered quarter horse colt. I love each of my pets equally and it is never easy to take a loss. I am sorry to hear about your water dragon. Did you ever get another one? Bearded Dragons also make nice pets if you are considering another lizard. I know it won't take the place of the dear pet you lost, but it does help to get over the grieving process.

Thank you all for the kind remarks. It is very hard losing any pet of any kind. I would like to say that Ms. Holly is doing great. She turned one this December. We keep a good eye on her and do not let her out unless someone is home. I will not take the chance of losing her the same way I lost dear Survivor Piggy. Here is wishing you all a very Safe and Happy New Year!
