The sad part is, I was told by the vet that the reason he was brought to the shelter was "he wasn't good enough for breeding" because of the underbite. The breeders wanted perfection.
That is really to bad that a breeder would dump a puppy at the pound due to a bad bite. If s/he did not want "less than perfect" puppies, s/he should have been a responsible breeder & due extensive health testing (& etc) to reduce the risk of this happening.
Sumo is an adorable dog. He is lucky to have an underbite, it got him away from that sicko breeder! =)

Exactly. The people at the shelter were really sad the day of Sumo's execution. I just happened to be there when he was going down for his walk to the room for the "pink juice". I thought someone was adopting him, then they told me otherwise. Needless to say, 50 bucks and 1/2 an hour later, he was playing ball in the house with Jinks. The best investment I've made to date.
