WOW, Charlie Gorgeous!!! Is Charlie a special mutation, or is blue just a color ring necks come in???

WOW! He is breathtaking! I have always admired ringnecks, but cannot find any. I wish I could, they are just awesome looking.

Thank you all for the compliments. Charlie was the first bird we owned, so he is spoiled rotten. He really thinks he's the king of the house. He even has his own plate for meals with us.
BTW Birdznfrogs there are a lot of Ringneck mutations. There natural color in the wild is green. So yes Charlie is a mutation. Just as pretty are the "Lutinos" or Yellow Ringnecks who get red rings if they are a male instead of black like Charlie's.

He is very beautiful. I have never seen a bird like that before. I would love to own a bird like Charlie. After seeing this picture I have done some research about this bird. I have read that they are trying for a mutation of colbolt blue and also lavendar. The blue ones like Charlie are starting to be more easily found which is great news!

I agree, Charlie is a beautiful bird. It's hard not to spoil them, all the birds I've owned were spoiled rotten also LOL.
