It is so wonderful when dogs live that long. I have a 12 year old Chessie/Lab mix. Though I have had him just 3 years, I'm glad I have had his this long. He nearly died on Thursday. He had to have an emergency splenectomy to remove his spleen & the 8lb (not a typo) tumor attached to it. Somehow the vet managed to miss it several times. Luckily, he is doing well & may be able to come home today! =)
