Yes, he's a 6 week old weim. He's doing very good on not chewing on my hands and feet already, and any time he needs to go potty he lets me know, so we've only had a couple accidents in the house. Thank you.

Well, he sure is beautiful! How big is he expected to get? Their is a Weim that hangs out at the local dog park who is HUGE. Maybe 90-100lbs. He is a sweetie though.

Six weeks old is very young to be away from his Mom. Be sure to not take him to pet stores, dog parks, & etc until he is fully vaccinated.

Thank you very much FurAngel. Males are expected to be 65-85 pounds when fully grown. I've had him since Saturday, and have also been thinking maybe he should've been with his mother longer because he can't stand to not be in direct contact with me. Just seeing me isn't enough for him, he has to be laying on my lap, foot, whatever he can. Thanks

Early separation from the mom/litter mates can cause separation anxiety. The best thing to do is not pick him up every time he cries & leave the TV/radio on softly when your away.

While six weeks old is very young to be away from his Mom/litter mates, it is still very possible for him to grow up to be a well mannered dog.
