You need a male and a female and you will need a place where she can lay her eggs.. We expanded the "beach" area around the pond so she could lay her eggs there. I think they become sexually mature at 5 years, if I'm not mistaken.

This is a baby turtle.. He is only about as big as a 50 cent piece. That enclosure is just a little tub I bought at the local pet store. My big turtles are in a pond which is about 8X8 feet, and I have chicken wire around it so they can't come out. My female just got out a couple of days ago trying to get away from the male.. We had to separate her for a couple of days because she had a cut on her. But she's probably pregnant and will lay eggs pretty soon...

I knew that was a baby... It just looked like your hand was farhter from the tub than it really is. So I thought it was like a kiddie pool or something... Thanks Anyways
