I'll be posting more photos of this baby as it grows...it's turning into quite a looker!

Hello Edmund, I have been keeping 2 Star Tortoises for about four months now. They are doing fine. You wrote in comments column that you breed tortoises as well so I guess you are experienced. I have read a lot of online articles on them but there are little things that I would like to ask people who keep them. So I am wondering if you could share your experience because I'm afraid of doing too much or too little for them. By the way, I am from Malaysia, Star Tortoises are relatively new pets here and there isn't much info available. May I ask, is the baby you're holding in this picture an Indian Star? Why do some Star Tortoises have 'bumps' on their
shell? Mine are about 2 1/2 inches long (shell only) and smooth shells though they have markings like yours. I would appreciate so much if you could reply. I have been searching for a forum like this and someone from mynahbird.com told me about this (I also have a mynah bird). I am not sure how this work. I shall log in again to look out for your 'comments'. Thank you so much, from Kim
Edmund

Thanks for your reply. My first question would be, is it ok to feed them just natural food ie greens? I give them a lot of variety but i'm worried if they would be getting enough nutrition. One baby loves the L/M Land Tortoise food , like you said to soften with a bit of water, but the other one sniffs and walks away all the time. I'm always worried if they ever get enough to it! Would appreciate it so much if you could help, please write to me at : kimmy@celcom.net.my
