male crested

I'm not sure exactly what it is either, but my male crested does this too, usually when I'm feeding him he'll lift up his tail, and whatever flesh that is comes out, and he licks a whitish substance from his behind. I'm not sure what exactly he's doing or why... but I just thought I'd share that.

If that doesnt go back in, soak it in lukewarm water it could be constipation. If you got it shipped it may have been wildcaught and possibly have parasites its desperately trying to get rid of. Maybe try dewormer in small amounts? But if it seems that its not doing this out its free will or very often I would go to a vet.

This is one of his hemipenes (penis). He has now pulled it back in and is doing fine. Thank you for the post.

The white substance that he's licking from his behind is actually semen...and it's technically not coming out of his behind. =)
