How long did it take you to tame him enough to take him ouside without restraint?

Well, he was unable to go outside for about 3 months during his treatment for his burns (I bought him from a petstore after a previous owner dropped him off because his heat lamp fell on him). During those months I held him everyday. He was pretty much sweet from the beginning however. He has always been extremely calm outside; he will walk around the yard eating clovers etc. for hours and never run off. Thanks for the compliments!
