This is the end product when stones are added around the basin, plants and moss are added, and a little java moss has grown over the rocks. The nice thing about using the liner for a pond is that you can control where the overflow will fall out. I have a small crease in two spots of the pond liner which directs the water out toward the fern (which likes a very moist soil--and the coco husk chips don't waterlog), and one which keeps part of the large flat stone constantly wet (which allows me to grow java moss on it). I think it turned out pretty well, and I find this process to be rather an easy and inexpensive way to make a waterfall/pond and control its affect on the surrounding substrate.
Looks great Homer! The final product we have all been waiting for turned out awesome. It was fun watching the pictures from the start turn into that, talk to you later
