After all of what has been said on you first pic...I think you did a hell of a job! You did a great job duplicating a realistic setting for you babies.

I love the tank and the snakes. The second I move out (or if by some strange happening, my parents let me get a snake) I'm going to get a carpet python. Well, I might start with something easier first, but I've lately been fascinated with more active snakes like carpets. Also, I've recently wondered why breeders think they are the ultimate authority on reptile housing, yet I often see pics of breeder setups with semi arboreal snakes in really short tanks with absolutly no climbing furniture. Technically reticulated pythons are semi arboreal, but I could understand why most breeders would not be able to give them adequate climbing room. Not to critisize breeders though. I would never buy a wild caught reptile.

Hey Ffemt, How big are they now? This is Goldball (the kid from Oologah). You still living in Collinsville? How much was the enclosure and where did you get it at?

Excellent improvements from the first pic of the tank! Now that you see how much better the tank looks with more decore, keep going, throw in more branches and plants, the more the better. You have a long way to go with that huge tank before it would look cluttered. My JCPs all love cork bark tubes placed high in the cage.
As far as the size issue... There are people who breed dogs and keep them in cement runs, and others who have one dog and give it acres of property. Are both healthy... yep. Are they both happy? its hard to tell, why don't you ask the next dog you see? The point is that the only thing that matters is that you meet the care REQUIREMENTS of your animals, which I assure you does not have to include a sweater box. If your animals are stress free enough to eat and you can heat the tank properly then do what ever makes you happy. Your snakes will definetely enjoy the extra room. My attitude... whats the point of having em if you can't even see into the cage to enjoy them. I think you'll agree :)

Great looking cage. Just one thing. I only saw one thermometer in your last picture. Just a suggestion to maybe put one at the bottom since temperatures vary so much between the top and bottom of such a big cage.
