I'm not sure how new to turtle ownership you are, but I see you have a glass thermometer. I just aquired two baby RES 1" and had a glass thermometer in the tank with them. The other night I came home from the grocery store and they had some how broken the glass and the mercury got all into the aquarium. The ppoint being, you might want to rethink getting a new one. Just a lesson from my own personal experience. It might help it might not!
