thats a shame that she is like that. these are really amazing animals. i just don't see how people can not like them. but i geuss that is just me. hopfully your girl will become more accepting of them. good luck :)

Hey! My name is also Amanda and I feel the same way about snakes as you do. I am 15 so I still live with my family. My parents don't like snakes but I ordered a ball python online, I didn't get it yet. Hopefully my parents change their opinion one like ours :)

thank you simbo!:) he/she is a colombian red tail. sunno if it's a boy or girl yet. once i have a prfessional show me how to sex them i am ganna start probing. amanda i hope you told your parents that you orderd the snake. it would suck if you got it then had to get rid of it. i have a ball python as well. mine is great but they can be a pain in the ass. i work at a pet store and we have 15 outta 16 ball pythons that won't eat on thier own right now. sucked too cuz we had to put one in the freezer cuz it had a birth defect and there is no way he could have eatten and digested the food properly. my mom isn't too crazy about snakes too though. all my animals are mine and my b/fs. i still live at home so right now they live at my b/fs house. but he is about to move in with me at my house so my mom will have to get used to them. wich she already pretty much has. she just won't hold them. i also have a savannah monitor. she loves him to death. heh. but don't rush things amanda. you have plenty of time to get to care for these typs of animals in the future :). but good luck with your parents, and the snake. :P
