Sorry, I am an amateur bu what kind is it? I want to buy a cool kind of snake, but I am not experienced with them. What kind of snake would be good to have if I am not experienced but want one that's cool. I have a ball python that I got 2 weeks ago. Sorry, I don't have anywhere else to post.

If you are an amature and don't have much experience, stay with the Ball Python. Also... if you were thinking of venomous snakes, heed to your State and local laws about these animals.

Ok kodycat.... if your an amature then i dont think you should be looking into any type of cobra... first off, Look into getting a copperhead or even mangrove.

If you are an amatuer it is advised that you stay away from venomous until you have a lot more experience. I would recomend that you stick with colubrids, and boids for now I'm sure that everyone with pictures posted in this particular gallery is very experienced and would tell you the same..

"Because it's cool" is not a reason to get any kind of snake.

It seem obvious that rearfangs are the best venomous snake to begin with, but how long should you have been handleing non venomous snakes before you start with things like FWC's or mangroves?

very pretty. to the amatuer...you could get some good books and learn a lot about them. get some experience...some good time with someone who is educated at least. If you do it on your own...that's always a risk.

like Darkfire said it seems obvious that rearfangs are the best venomous snake to begin with. But they hurt more then front fanged snakes, because most rearfanged snakes wont let go in till they get there fangs in the pray
