How To Build:
1. 20 - 25 gallon tank
2. 2 - 3 inches of water in bottom
3. float the rubbermaid container in water near water heater
4. Put vermiculite in bottom of second smaller container
5. Bury the eggs so top 1/3 shows
6. Mix vermiculite with water 1:10 by volume
7. Put temp. gauge in and adjust temp. on heater until right for what you need
The room the incubator is in is about 70 F. Much cooler and it won't work. I'd rather buy one, but at the time this is all i could do. Be careful becaus the hatchlings could drown in the water if they climb. Buy the biggest heater you can.

You can get water heaters like that at a pet store. It looks like the kind you use for fish.

Well Cron., I'm canadian, so the price difference will be huge. That water heater is a submersible aquarium heater good for 65 gal. It cost me 40$. I bought it at a pet store. Wal-Mart sells the stuff too. I bought a water filter there for my basilisks pool so i dont have to change the water every day.

geckoman000 >>> Yes you can. I know a friend who used a home-made incubator like this to hatch leos, and he's been doing it for several years with very good results.
