Keywords: Iguana cage

This is an 8x8x8 cage I built to house wild caught iguanas. It has a two ft wall on the bottom that keeps the igs from rubbing or slamming themselves and a two ft wall on the top to keep them from rubbing while tring to escape. The cage sits on concrete blocks and the inside is filled with mulch all the way up to the block's brim. This keeps them from digging out.

Are you catching the iguanas in Miami? I heard that they are all over the Miami airport.

I agree. Never catch a wild iguana... it may kill them, and it will terrorize you. I helped a guy in Miami catch a 5 footer he swore was tame, I tried to argue with him, but he wouldnt listen, so i caught it, put it in his SuV, and walked away. When he started the truck, it freaked and tore up the thing, and got him good on the face... I knew better, but I was also 40 bucks richer...

Obviously he cares about igs enough to build them an excellent setup so its better then them getting hit on the highway!

Iguanas are an introduced species in Florida. Taking them out of the wild is actually helping the native wildlife. And by the looks of this cage, I think he knows what he's doing.
