So that is what it is named! We found lots of it at my inlaw's house near Kernville, CA and took some home to LA. We knew it was some sort of milkweed (it had monarch larve on it!) but did not know exactly what it was. I'm wondering if this originated in the southwest??

wow! I'll have to look for that when I'm out hunting caterpillars. You don't suppose I'd find a Monarch larvae, do you? Those things are rare finds in my book! I've seen only 6 Monarch Butterflys in my life, and no larvae. *sighs* ...someday...
