Please Help Mickey Return Home

Mickey, a healthy, relatively small sized 11 year old blue and gold macaw was stolen from his home in Salinas, Puerto Rico, on January 11, 2002. His wings have always been kept clipped - prior to January
11, he had only two flight feathers (one on each side) and last couple of
inches of feathers have a ribbon effect. Words like "hello" and "hola" are common to his vocabulary... says "hello" as a way of saying "thank you"...and
uses"ha" when he wants a special treat...or when asked a question. He also
whistles several ways, including wolf whistle.
As of this date, May 30,
2003, he has not been found. Owner is ABSOLUTELY
devastated by his loss. Mickey was adopted by his owner as a baby and has
spenttheir lives together almost 24/7...Mickey has been treated as a child, and
is not a normal, caged bird.
