Do you think this plastic cage is safe to use outside so he can get "real sun"

I hope you don't use it until you know for sure...be nice, get a mesh cage, let him enjoy the weather.

No, that will kill him if you leave him out there like that. You will cook him alive.

Yeh thats a death trap... I agree get a large screen cage and keep him out there for a couple of hours a day. Just make sure he has a shaded spot to cool off, maybe even a shallow pool.
