What's it from? If it's a snake, looks like it may undigested food, or rather poorly digested, check your heat sources bumping up the temp. usally corrects the problem, unless it's wild caught then he may have some internal parasites. Hope this helps.

This is true, at first glance it does look like a regurge, however due to decompisition and the smaller mass behind it I do not believe it to be.

But either way bumping up the temp. would correct both problems in the case of a regurge or poor digestion.

I was having a similar problem with poor digestion using turf its a poor buffer for the cold glass even when i turned up the undertank heater it only heated the spot it was stuck to and left much of the tank too cold. someone suggested i switch to a bark like forest floor which distributes the heat much better and hold mositure so i switched and I never had the problem agian
