This bug was found in Atlanta, Georgia, and can jump about 1 foot straight up. However, he will usually move around to the back side of whatever twig he's on to hide, instead. He seems to have two versions: one with a fuzzy tail, and one with no fuzz in evidence. Perhaps they're two different, but similar species.

Not sure, but I think that is a Nymph (looks like the wings are not yet developed) of some sort of leaf hopper or plant hopper, not from that area so I am not sure, but thats my best guess.
