Why dont you fill the water higher?

i agree, very cool setup...make the water level higher and raise the basking spot...you will be amazed of how much more energetic and happier that turt. will be with deeper water to swim through....fill it just a tad over halfway, he/she will really be enjoyable to watch then..guarantee it.
