Knight Anole eating.

Knight Anole eating.

This is a female Knight Anole eating a "feeder" Green Anole. My reasoning behind doing this is simple: the shop I got the Green Anole at was specifically selling them as feeders, so if I didn't get some to benefit my Knight Anoles, then someone else would have bought them for their animals.

Nice looking lizard. How big is this knight anole? and how much larger do they get? Also..are there any alternatives to feeding it other lizards? What else do they have on their menu?

Hey raider,
You dont necessarily have to feed cuban knight anoles feeder anoles (thats just stupid) they WILL eat many other creatures such as crickets, mealworms, king worms, pinkie mice, wax worms, tevo worms, silkworms, and sometimes even night crawlers!

Thanks,
Ben

Ben,

It has been my experience that some Knight Anoles can be rather finicky eaters. The one in the photo, for instance. She readily eats smaller lizards (as do most large Knights), but often ignores all of the other good, non-anoline and readily obtainable, stuff you mentioned in your comment. My point is, if I occasionally have to feed her an anole or other inexpensive lizard to keep her healthy than that's what I'll do. Saying it's stupid is pretty harsh.
