What a great shot!! I'll have to show this to my friends who think my rose hair is a big spider. I'm not sure my friends really understand that my rosie isn't very big, wait till till I have a Theraphosa blondi someday.

Hey guys. I've had my rose hair for almost a year now. And I've done as much research as I could. I cant figure out if its a female or male. When i got it, it ambdomen was a fairly good size. then it got huge. now its shruken quite abit. and its stoped eating. and it hasnt molted once since i got it.

As far as male or female the only way you can really tell is by the end of the pedipalps as far as I know. About the molting, my rosie did not molt for the first two and 1/2 years that I had her and then of course she did it while my brother was taking care of her for me.

How long does a rose hair live once it's an adult? I want one myself, and am trying to decide if it would be better to get one as a spiderling.
