I got my boa at my Petco also, about 3-4 months. He's taking F/T or live and growing quickly. He started with fuzzies, but now is up to mice.

I have my ball in a 55 gal. tank by itself and my boa in a cabinet 4x2x2. Shouldn't be a problem unless it's feeding time, but I personally have never liked the idea of different species placed in the same environment if it doesn't exist in nature. Just my 2cents.

i personally wouldn't keep ball pythons and red-tails together. i have 3 royal pythons in a rather large enclosure, and my red-tail in a seperate. red-tails get a lot larger then ball pythons.

I personaly would not put those snakes together in the same tank. One may carry parasites that do not affect it but could severly damage the other. They are not snake eaters but feeding could be a big problem. You would have to separate them. Red tails get big too. To house the two together you would need a decent size tank/enclosure.

I dont feed my ball python in his main cage ever, I always take him out and put him in a small 10 gal tank. Would i be able to control a boas growth by controling his feeding and not keeping it in such a large cage? It would be nice if i could get one to be around 5ft maybe 6ft...

The best way to keep reptiles is to keep them solitaire in their terrarium and only bring them together during the breeding season. Stress plays a major role in the welbeing of reptiles, also stress caused by cage mates. Although you don't see stress, it is there, believe me !!
