No, they aren't. I've had about five wild ones, and all they need is warmth, crickets AND grasshoppers,something to climb on, and something to hide in.

He is excellent...I want one, please tell me how easy is he to keep as I've heard they're picky eaters and I've no experience of snakes...yet

how do u get urs to eat? I had one before and i tried crickets,mealworms, and waxworms, but it didnt eat at all.
