Keywords: Insect bettle bug

Any one know what this is?? Kind of looks like a cockroach with large front legs, and it's about 2.5 to 3 inches in length.

Waterscorpions have a much slimmer body resembling a reed or small twig and have thier forelegs positioned vertically like a Mantis's. Thier breathing tube is also longer.

They have all kinds of wacky names for things over in Scotland. Did anybody know that in the United Kingdom they call these water scorpions? The name they call what we call "water scorpions" is "water stick insect". ...so to answer your question metroid the only person on drugs here is me. ;/

The difference between the American giant water bug and the UK "water scorpion" is the long breathing tube thing that comes out from it's tail.

Giant Water Bug-lethocerus americanus also known as the"TOE BITER" don't let it bite you its VERY painfull!!It uses it mouth th kill and eat whatever it can grab.Minnows on down.
