Thats why i get scared when i see a 8 year old child walking around with his new pet babay burmease python at a reptile show or pet shoppe...I'm glad some dealers don't sell without letting the father/mother or hell anybody who doesn't know know that they get that big. I shake my head in shame at the dealers who dont inform and care about the only the sale and not about the owner or long term health of the animal.

Visahari, I know what you mean. I walked into one of the local pet shops not too long ago. They had a baby albino burm for $250. Some woman walked in with her son (I'm assuming) who was no more than 7 I'd say. They were all set to buy it and the owner said nothing, nor was there any sort of sign on the tank stating how big they get. I took it upon myself to inform her because I felt it was the right thing to do. Needless to say, I'm not welcomed in that store anymore.

Indeed I hope they didn't buy it, Brenda_V. Burms are real kick-*ss snakes, but either this salesman didn't know what kinda snake he was about to sell OR he's just a money-greedy *sshole...
In both cases he should not be selling snakes!!
