I found this about 8 inches underground when figging in my yard. Im sorry about the low quality picture. Had to take it with my webcam. Its about 2 inches in length and it has a small spike on the front of it. Also it has about 5 sections from its front to back. Well Basically its the thing from Tremors but a lot smaller... Anyone?? Appreciate the help. Again sorry for the low quality pic.

it looks like the pupae of a sphinx moth. usually pretty cool to see. they like to emerge in the middle of the night or early morning, then hang on something for a bit to harden up.
keep it protected and you'll dig what you get. when you pester it, does it wiggle its butt around? if not it might have expired.

Yeah thats a Sphinx Moth pupae, if it squirms it's alive.

The adults are awesome fliers and can hover in mid air like hummingbirds do.

The moths drink nectar from flowers, but in captive breeding they are fed sugar water.
