Don't you realize that any pet can kill, what if it was a dog, it could attack her in no time. I'm sure the burm is very tame. I'm positive no one would do anything stupid enough to hurt their children. Great snake and cute kid.

I think the point is that snakes arent predictable animals. No matter what, they are weird. My blood has NEVER bitten me before. But yesterdat he bit me twice right out of the blue. No rat scent, nothing. He was just upset. Now if that large tame burm were to get upset like my blood, she could get squished. Obviously the dude taking the photo would come to her rescue, but it would create quite a scene, a negative one i might add. And if that snake bit her? She'd bleed like crazy. No big deal, but why run this particular rist out on public, at a carnival?? Thats what would help put the ban on large boids.

It's the guy's pet for christ's sake. Get off his jock and let his daughter hold the damn thing. I'm sure he knows his burm just fine.

I think the picture is AMAZING! The girl sure would have quite a story to tell her friends when she gets older, won't she? This probably isn't their first time holding it like this. I think it's sooo cool because I can't stand girls who run away from mice and snakes and such, no offense if you do. How old is that snake?

I agree with a few of the points posted. Snakes don't get tame, they do get tolerant. I'm sure the parent knows the snake, and yes I find it okay in some ways. But c'mon, that child could easily be injured, if not die. I do have children Stoopid. I would never put my wife in that situation let alone my daughter. By the way your nickname fits you perfectly.
