There are individual variations in how aggressive this species is. The one pictured is rather calm.
Generally, some are laid back and don't seem to be easily bothered, some have struck at me when I've opened the lid on their box.
I've had individuals so aggressive that they've kept striking at me repeatedly from the start of cleaning their enclosure until the moment I've put them back and left alone.
Some seem to be more inclined to rub their scales together and produce a hissing sound for warning, though.
